CAUTION: This is a video of the prologue of Silent Hill 4: The Room, which is one of the most under rated in the franchise of five games because it has a different feel to the series. This video is so sick and evil it may cause you sleepless nights and nightmares! SERIOUSLY! no kidding. If you think you have a strong heart, be my guest! but don’t say i did not warn you!
A new controversy on the line, another video game being trashed for some -good or bad-reasons, this time it is not Grand Theft Auto or Bully, neither Resident Evil or Silent Hill … it is the newest cutest hopefull SONY’s production of the most anticipated PS3 exclusive title: Little Big planet. but what is the fuss about anyway?
Oh well, the game is about little -Sackboy- creatures who you need to control them around the real size world and save your tribe -or something!- you can also build your own level and share it online with others and make your own music, sounds endlessly fun, at least, who would ever thought that PS3 was capable of being cute after all, i knew few who love it, but well, we all know that you can also fall in love with the airplane’s black box as well if you concentrate enough…
Anyways! the problem aroused on launching the game and started retail actions everywhere when a kid somewhere started playing it and whilst enjoying the background song called “Tapha Niang” he found out that it included two verses of Qura’an. For him, being a hot-blooded muslim he spread the word which spread like the T-virus around the world. The game’s official launch halted, Sony announced an apology and an undercover internet war started, especially on the worst dirtiest place ever Youtube.com (which encourages racism hugely!). The last thing that Sony needs is a suicidal explosive assault from an crazy Al-Qa’aeda hellish group of monkyes thus they released their apology by 1 - delaying the world wide official launch of the most aniticpated game of the year and 2 - releasing an online patch for the users who already have the older copy and wish to erase that track, Thanks kid! you are a true savior.
So i got mixed up in all of that fuss, especially if you start reading people’s amusing comments on Youtube (don’t waste your time, seriously!), and i did not think much of it, so i stay neutral, for the sake of not creating a new incident of the Danish Cartoonist thing!
If you would feel offended by hearing two general scentences from Holy Qura’an and start bitching on Youtube about it, then do not bother, the song is not that bad anyway!
If your parents love you and kind of expected you to work in a good magazine when you grow up they should have be extra careful to make your birthdate fall somewhere in the begining of the month, nevertheless, our new colleague at the office Maysa does not seem to give it much thought of being the birthday girl while having both hands on the mag! She’s got her fantastic flowers anyways …
Rock the year ahead, you are having a long happy one to come, girl, happy birthday!
At the office we have these moments when something happens (especially from Noor’s side) and you have to search your whole desk (over, under, between the pages of 200 scattered magazines) for your phone to capture that eccentric moment of Noorism.
In the shadow of Halloween, Noor decided to be the happy Elven! and why not! it all starts by getting those happy nice pointy ears of yours, erm, the elven i mean! Happy Halloween everyone, dress up your weirdest and have true -spooky- fun. (mwahahahhhhaaaaaaaa - evil laughter)
note: Cormamin lindua ele lle means My heat sings to see thee in Elven language …. yes, there is one, google it!
This one particularily goes to my buddy Rami because he is a dedicated Final Fantasy (and all other cool RPGs) fan, his screen name is Squall for the love of Final Fantasy VIII thus when i came across this ad (which was published originally in Electronic Games Magazine in 2000 - i guess!) he came across my mind! for all clear reasons of course! Nothing would make you day better than a double page spread original Ad for Final Fantasy VIII - one of Square Enix Final Fantasy Franchise best titles in the series (and most under rated for its highly complex characters and story - also introducing great graphics for the first time on PS1 for the series, Amazing music and mind blowing CG scenes) i enjoyed playing this game twice, and i must say that it stayed in my mind more than the weird insistance of everyone on FFVII which is fantastic but is getting to be over rated very quickly (i do not think they should do the PS3 remake by now).
Final Fantasy Forever … Celebrating 20 years of love and friendship, and aniticipating a master piece in Final Fantasy XIII.
If you have not seen this yet then you really MUST … this is the worst thing ever since Xpatch and OC mags … seriously, no exaggeration! this abonomation deformed baby does not belong to anything regarding design or decency in any matter!
The layout is thrown together by a sixth grader, the text is all wrong, all wrong! YET they have someone like Kivanc Tatlung (a Turkish Soap Opera actor that got only successful in this part of the world!) on the cover, it is a very very bad magazine.
Jordanian Cosmopolitan gives you an insight of you SHOULD NOT do in your life if you ever decided to become a graphic designer or a writer, pick it up and let me know what you think.
Note: I think i am going to contact official Cosmpolitan about this, see if it belongs to them (remember the infamous incident of U magazine and how they stole Vogue art work! - could be the same, but larger!)
So, Farah is our eccentric energy leader in the office, and we love her for that and more … especially when you find out that she is MARIA (not the Silent Hill 2 Maria though!) .. cute wolf disguised in a sheep costume stickers everywhere! Ain’t she a bundle of joy? BLESS YOUR SOUL!
It is so often that you got NUTS in the office, we do that in NEM quite litreally! haha… just enjoying our afternoon working on the magazines with little nuts to go with. Thank you Farah for introducing us to such an addictive (yet rather disturbing) habit!
